CTAM’s On Demand Consortium plans to hold 2 media-targeted demo events aimed at educating the consumer press about VOD. The 1st will be at the CTAM Digital & Broadband Conference in March 9 – 11, Century Plaza Hotel, LA and the second in July at the TCA critics tour in Hollywood. From there the group of some 50 programmers, MSOs, vendors and studios will be staging promotional events for consumers during the remainder of ’04 (Cfax, 11/24/03). The Consortium kicked off its 1st formal event a few weeks back at CES in Vegas, where more than 1 dozen 40-min briefings were held for reporters from Business Week to Penthouse.
