Entravision Launches Digital Content Initiative
Entravision, owner of Univision and UniMas, will launch a digital content initiative through an investment and partnership with Chanclazo Studios, Inc., a digital production studio that creates and distributes short and long form 3D animation, virtual reality and augmented reality content for Hispanics. The initiative will provide Entravision with new and unique content for its growing media platforms, as well as increasing its advertisers’ digital marketing opportunities.

Akamai: 2Q ’16 State of the Internet Report
The global average connection speed increased 14% from year to year, but 7 of the top 10 US states’ average connection speed declined this quarter, according to Akamai’s “Second Quarter, 2016 State of the Internet Report” released on September 29.

Nielsen: Audience Behavior Depends on Device
While the emergence of unlimited content options dominates the average monthly usage numbers, traditional platforms—TV and radio—still lead the length of time consumers spend with media, according to The Nielson Total Audience Report Q2 2016. Released on September 26, the report tracks changes in media usage and consumption in relation to newer and traditional platforms. In Q2 2016, consumer usage was dependent upon the device being used.

Machinima and SiriusXM launch ‘Machinima’s Inside eSports Radio’ Show
Machinima and SiriusXM have joined forces for a new daily eSports radio show, “Machinima’s Inside eSports Radio,” launching on September 26. It will air exclusively for SiriusXM subscribers nationwide on satellite radios and on the SiriusXM app every weekday from 6-7pm on the SiriusXM Bleacher Report Radio, channel 83.
