The Why? Not only has Goei ushered Altice through a year of investment and growth, he’s done so while celebrating the company’s inclusive culture. For years, he served as executive sponsor of Altice’s diversity and inclusion program and he participates in the company’s Asian American Pacific Islander Community Together employee affinity group.
He Says… “I take pride in being able to openly share my personal stories and experiences to help those who may be facing similar challenges in life, and I encourage everyone to do the same.”
Advice for conversation about race at work: Bring your own personal experiences to the table but realize that you may not be the only person who may have something to share, teach and contribute.
How can leadership best support DEI? Leadership can not only lend their voices and time to truly be a part of different DEI events and initiatives, but they can also put programs, policies, and functions in place to ensure that the company is being inclusive and equitable at every stage and every level.
What community support initiative has your company championed that you’re most proud of? Innovation is a mindset that we value deeply at Altice USA, and I’m very proud of the work we do to enable the next generation of thinkers and innovators through our support of STEM learning programs, most notably our sponsorship with FIRST Robotics and our annual Optimum Innovator Awards. By engaging with STEM students in these mentor-based programs, we can see the direct impact that we have within our communities and are truly proud of what we’ve been able to do to support STEM education and innovation on the local and national level.
