Jana Fay C-SPAN
Amidst all of the change in cable, C-SPAN’s mission has not shifted since transmitting its first television feed from the House of Representatives in 1979. That’s according to C-SPAN vp of finance Jana Fay, and she should know. Fay was, after all, C-SPAN founder Brian Lamb’s very first hire.
“We have been very committed to our mission from day one. What we’ve had to adjust to are all the distribution outlets and things of that nature,” says Fay, who was recently inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers.
