This week, the CFX Video Series features Cablefax columnist Steve Effros, a cable industry veteran clocking in with nearly five decades of experience. He speaks on the public outcry surrounding the FCC’s Title II debate and the need for Congress to finally revisit the Telecommunications Act.

“All of these are interim steps waiting for Congress to finally deal with the political question of how do you deal with an industry and a telecommunications structure that has changed from one where you’re dealing with the infrastructure to one where you’re dealing with both the infrastructure and some huge players on the edge that have more power than the infrastructure does,” Effros noted. “Until they do, we’re going to see this strange dance of people going back and forth, but none of it’s permanent.”
