NCTA: A Final Look
It's been two weeks, so it's about time to wrap up our coverage of the National Show, which this year saw a rise in exhibitors (360 from 340) and drop in attendees (15,500 from 17,000.)

Letters to the Editor
We launched this discussion by complaining about how busy this spring season is. Venturing as editors into a bit more editorializing, we think Dave Large's letter on April 11 opposing the merging of NCTA's National Show and Cable-Tec Expo was the most compelling we received.

A few more comments on the question of cable shows, but first, a quick reminder. CT's Pipeline is a sister publication of Communications Technology and our other electronic products. (Other cable-related publications owned by our parent company Access Intelligence are CableWorld and CableFAX Daily.) One of our key partners is the SCTE, but we don't speak for the SCTE. In this Broadband Soapbox question, for instance, we simply are raising an issue that we as editors commonly hear during this busy season.
