Sinclair Helping NEXTGEN TV
Sinclair is ramping up its ATSC 3.0 efforts, announcing with America’s Public Television Stations that in markets where Sinclair has deployed NEXTGEN TV service and a public TV station hasn’t, it’ll provide carriage of a virtual channel from that station at no cost.

South Bend Gets NextGen TV
Five stations in the South Bend-Elkhart market in Indiana are next up to begin broadcasting with NextGen TV. Those are WSBT-TV (CBS and Fox), WNDU-TV (NBC), WSJV (H&I), WNIT (PBS) and WHME-TV (independent).

ATSC 3.0 Live in Rochester
Select TV stations in Rochester, New York, started broadcasting with NextGen TV. Those are WHAM-TV (ABC), WROC-TV (CBS), WUHF (Fox) and WXXI-TV (PBS). NextGen TV brings improved video and audio as well as advanced emergency alerts.

FCC Stays ATSC 3.0 Rule Sunset
The FCC has temporarily stayed the March 6, 2023 sunset of a requirement for broadcaster primary steams to comply with the ATSC A/322 standard, a technical standard for formatting a broadcaster’s signal.
