Scripps is shutting down its 24/7 news network Scripps News come Nov. 15. It’ll remain available on streaming and digital platforms with weekday live coverage from the field, but OTA programming will cease after that date.

YouTube Takes Top Spot in Media Distributor Gauge
Disney was unseated as the top media distributor in July, according to Nielsen’s Media Distributor Gauge Report. Last month saw YouTube climb into the top spot with 10.4% of total TV usage, thanks in large part by school-aged viewers ages 2-17 accounting for nearly 30% of YouTube viewership and 13% of TV viewership overall.

Bundling Talk Continues
Talk of bundling strategies stretched into the second day of The Independent Show as folks discussed ways to enhance customer success while finding more avenues to monetize different services. One of the companies trying to meet changing video habits is Scripps with its Tablo product it launched last year, which combines streaming and OTA as an alternative video solution to keep viewers within the video ecosystem.
