Noopur Davis, Comcast

WICT, SCTE-ISBE and Cablefax named Noopur Davis as its 2018 Women in Technology Award honoree. Davis is svp, chief product and information security officer for Comcast.

The 2017 winner, Debi Piccolo, will present the award during SCTE-ISBE Cable-Tec Expo, October 22-25 in Atlanta. Davis will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Cablefax. The award was launched in 1995 to recognize leading women in cable technology. Past recipients include Theresa Hennesy, Nomi Bergman, Stephanie Mitchko-Beale and Pam Arment.

Davis is the executive sponsor of Comcast/NBCU TechWomen, on the steering committee of Comcast Technology, Product, eXperience Diversity Council and an executive sponsor of the Comcast Asian Pacific Americans Employee Resource Group. She’s leading groundbreaking work in the use of blockchain for IoT security and in machine learning for early threat detection.

“Noopur Davis understands how continued education drives individual and business success, how critically important security best practices are, and how advocating for diversity and the advancement of women in technology can build a better workforce,” said SCTE-ISBE pres/CEO Mark Dzuban.

Cablefax publisher Michael Grebb praised Davis’ strategic vision to push the envelope on innovation.

“She is an innovator with a tremendous level of skill and knowledge, and boasts superlative professional credentials,” said WICT pres/CEO Maria Brennan.
