In a boost for TV Everywhere, the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) says it’s successfully enabled more than 80 member companies with its Watch TV Everywhere (WTVE) authentication solution developed collaboratively with several key NCTC members (including Massillon). The group says most of the major programmers offering TVE content have been integrated onto the platform, which also supports a variety of member billing system solutions. Moving forward, NCTC plans to create additional TVE solutions…Mobile social/video software solutions developer Vringo Inc. wrapped its merger with Innovate/Protect Inc., a company that “seeks to maximize the value of intellectual property and technology assets”…Triple-play provider Darien Communications deployed a hosted switched digital video network upgrade made by Canada’s Adara Technologies to improve customer service, cut truck rolls, speed problem resolution and be more proactive regarding problem detection.
